voicecombine int

This command defines how the notes/rests of the current voice may be combined with the notes/rests of the next voice on the same staff.

When the combination must occur with a skip in the voices, voice grouping may be used. The group of voices is defined by the part before a . (dot) in the voice identifier. See the example below.

int may be:

• < 0: the voices are displayed as written
• 0: the rests with the same duration are displayed as one rest
• 1: the notes with the same duration are combined to chords,
      except when there could be a second, a unison or a voice inversion
• 2: the notes with the same duration are always combined to chords
• > 2: display the unisons as single notes
