These commands define the horizontal spacing between the notes. This spacing depends on the note duration. The software maintains an internal table containing the spacing values in pixels. The table index is a note duration. They are (in order) 128th, 64th, 32nd, 16th, 8th, quarter, half, whole, brevis and longa (10 values).
The first command (%%notespacing) is handled by txtmus only. When its argument is a list, it replaces the spacing internal table. Otherwise, when the argument starts with a star, the content of the internal table is multiplied by the float value.
The other command (%%notespacingfactor) creates all items of the internal table. The float value is the spacing factor between a duration and the next duration. The int value is the spacing of the quarter note (crotchet) in pixels. This last value cannot be set by abcm2ps; its value is 40px. When the value is omitted, txtmus and abc2svg use 38px.
