notespacingfactor float [, int ]

Default Command line Scope Available in
1.3, 38

Set the note spacing factor to float (range 1..2) and, with abc2svg, the base width to int.

This parameter is used to compute the natural spacing of the notes. When the duration of a note type is twice the duration of an other note type, its spacing is multiplied by this factor.

The default base width of the quarter note / crotchet is 40px for abcm2ps (fixed value) and 38px for abc2svg (settable).

In abcm2ps, the default factor causes the note spacing to be multiplied by 2 when its duration is multiplied by 4, i.e. the space of the semibreve is 80px and the space of the semiquaver is 20px.

Setting this factor to 1 sets all note spacings to the same value.
